What is Acerola Berry Or Cherries

“Acerola” means “maple cherry” in Portuguese. I think everyone now understands that Acerola is the fruit of the southern territories of the Earth – Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Madagascar, Western India.

Popular name:  Barbados cherry, tropical cherry, naked malpighia, Puerto Rican cherry.

Acerola Fruit is a small evergreen tropical tree (up to 6 m high) or shrub with pubescent shoots. Acerola leaves are ovate or oblong.

Berry anthocyanins improve memory, regulate blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease, protect against obesity, protect the brain tissue of the embryo during their development, and are characterized by a strong anti-inflammatory effect.

Vitamin C is involved in the production of collagen, an important structural protein that makes up the skin, tendons, and blood vessels.
